General info
This wine is made entirely from the indigenous grape variety Malagousia, with the emphasis on 'sia'. It's difficult to compare this grape variety, but in terms of exotic flavors and aromatic notes, you can find similarities with Viognier and Gewürztraminer. The wine has not undergone any barrel aging, but it has received much praise and attention from the global wine world. Critics such as Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson, and James Suckling consistently give the wines from this producer high scores, which is exceptional for this region and country.
Tasting notes
Beautiful aromas of roses, passion fruit, and honeydew melon. A wine with good length and freshness.
Food pairing
Delicious with salads, grilled vegetables, white fish, and tapas.

Alpha Estate, along with Domaine Gerovassiliou, is a pioneer in the new Greek wine culture. Where previously the goal was to grow as many grapes as possible to produce a large quantity of mediocre wine, Alpha began pruning and pursuing low yields. Initially, everyone in Greece thought they were crazy, but when international success quickly followed, they were vindicated.
