Donnafugata named one of the 10 "Icon Wineries of Italian Wine" by Gambero Rosso

A dream come true The Gambero Rosso jury praised the Sicilian family winery with a beautiful citation:

"A Mille e Una Notte dream. The Rallo family has been able to understand and convey Sicilian winemaking with extraordinary insight and vision."

Pioneers of the Sicilian terroir The award highlights the pioneering role that Donnafugata has played over the past decades. What began with the vision and courage of founders Giacomo and Gabriella is passionately carried on today by their children, José and Antonio Rallo. Together with their team, they craft quality wines that showcase the unique character of Sicily on the global stage.

José Rallo proudly accepted the award: "Our journey stems from the vision of our parents. We carry forward this legacy with deep gratitude. This milestone belongs to everyone who works with Donnafugata."

Double celebration: Tre Bicchieri for Ben Ryé To top it all off, another of the winery’s iconic wines was honored: the famous passito Ben Ryé 2023 received the prestigious Tre Bicchieri (three glasses) award. A wonderful recognition for their 'heroic viticulture' on the island of Pantelleria.
